Bruce Robert Harris

"Visualize, Create and Produce" - is what he has been doing for the last seven years.

In April 2001, Mr. Harris produced Elegies For Angels Punks And Raging Queens. Fynsworth Alley helped produce the very first American recording of this incredible One Night Benefit for The Momentum Aids Project. Three years running Mr. Harris has Co-Produced The Gay Pride Staged Reading Series with Co-Producer Douglas Leland. In June 2000, he along with Mr. Leland produced the first Gay Pride Encore Benefit Series. It included Harvey Firestein¹s Torch Song Trilogy, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Boys In The Band, and a new play by Julian Woolford, BYM Beautiful Young Man. In 2001 he faced the challenge of four more shows in Lincoln Center at the Clark Studio Theatre. Together they produced The 2001: A Gay Odyssey. The 2nd Annual Gay Pride Staged Reading Series. The season saw productions of Terrance McNally's THE RITZ with Jay Rogers, Lin Tucci and Blanca Camacho, JEFFREY by Paul Rudnick starring original member Bryan Batt as Jeffrey, Larry Kramer's THE NORMAL HEART and the 1st New York City Revival of William Finn and James Lapines A NEW BRAIN starring Tony nominee Willy Falk, directed and choreographed by Baayork Lee (original cast of A CHORUS LINE ). Following in the success of the series Mr. Harris was asked by friend and co-producer Geoffrey Doig Marx to produce The Elan Awards. This amazing awards show showcases developing choreographers and thier talents while honoring a well known established figure in the dance world for choreography. Our past honorees have included, Graciella Danielle, Jerry Mitchell, and Ann Reinking. In November 2001, Mr. Harris and Mr. Leland formed TEA FOR TWO Productions Foundation Inc., a Not-for profit company and produced a three play(showcase) series to benefit the fireman's 911 Relief funds. They presented THE ODD COUPLE (female Version) by Neil Simon directed by Steve DeAngelis, revived their summer hit, Jeffrey by Paul Rudnick with a cast of 29! And re-staged LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION! by Terrance McNally Bruce is very active in the gay community, donating his time to Equity Fights AIDS BCEFA, and Out for People. SunnySpot Productions Inc. was designed to raise money for new scripts and new shows in development for the theatre.
